The project’s purpose is to process
rubber latex into air dried sheets for higher value added to realize
higher income (by at least 15%) of rubber farmer cooperators. The
major components of the project are the establishment of three units
of fully-equipped rubber latex processing plants, conduct of
trainings on rubber latex processing and organization of rubber
farmer groups/associations. |

President Quirino the “Muscovado Municipality of Mindanao” taking

of the project are establishment of a common service facility;
installation and operationalization of production and packaging
support facilities in muscovado production; and, capability building
for muscovado processors. |

institutional and organizational development, production
enhancement, and quality standard development; organization and
production of manual of operations; conduct of
internal inspection; conduct of external inspection and processing
of organic certification. |

The project’s goal is to increase the
income of marginal farmers by maximizing productivity of potential
areas of the province for banana production through enhancement of
banana nursery operation and plantation production in the
target areas. The major components of the project are the upgrading
of SKPSC banana tissue culture laboratory; expansion of SKSPC banana
nursery; conduct of trainings on banana nursery and plantation
management; establishment of techno-demo farms and banana nursery
operators; development, reproduction and distribution of
techno-guides on banana production; and, market promotion. |

nursery; conduct of trainings on anthurium production technologies;
establishment of techno-demo areas and anthurium growers backyard
projects; development, reproduction and distribution of
techno-guides on anthurium production; and, market
promotion/linkages. |

Small-Scale Community-Based
Environmental Rehabilitation and Conservation Project for Clustered
Area within the Vicinity of Ligawasan
Marsh |

The project is an integrated
intervention that will combine the efforts to conserve and
rehabilitate the marshland environment and to improve the
productivity and sustainability of the fishing industry on which
about 80 percent of the community people depend for livelihood. It
aims to contribute in the conservation and rehabilitation of the
marshland environment and improve the socio-economic productivity of
the people. The major components of the project are the
environmental conservation and rehabilitation by establishing at
least 106 hectares of community forests and freshwater mangroves as
fish sanctuaries and nesting places; 24 kilometers of river
bank/waterway protection; conduct of education and skills training
activities; strengthening and organizing people organizations (at
least 16 POs organized/strengthened), and advocating for effective
local governance and policies for environmental conservation and
fishing-based socio-economic productivity improvement. |

Mangrove Rehabilitation Project in
Barangay Kalanganan, Cotabato City |
|
The project’s purpose is to rehabilitate
the mangrove forest of Cotabato City not only to restore the area as
a spawning ground for greater fish production but also to prevent
further siltation and flooding of rivers surrounding the city. The
major components of the project are the conduct of IEC/community
organizing/consultations, establishment and maintenance of nursery,
planting/rehabilitation of 10 hectares of mangrove areas, and
conduct of trainings. |
